It’s no secret that immigration has risen to be one of the top issues in the 2024 election. As Donald Trump is sharpening his approach to enact an authoritarian wishlist in a second term, we are launching the Defeat Xenophobia Project (DXP) to help drive a more politically salient immigration policy message and equip policy makers, pundits, political operatives, media members and other influencers with the necessary tools to engage actively – without fear of the narrative impact on voting audiences – about immigration. Our goal is to provide the broader political community with the political messaging resources to stop exclusively playing defense on immigration policies, and start engaging in the conversation in a more forward leaning and politically-smart way.
